Probably the most fun colour to learn about and also probably the most diverse one, as you’ll see below!
Royal
We had a lot of fun finding out about this one! Purple is a regal colour and it may have something to due with the fact that it was once Queen Elizabeth’s favourite colour. In fact, she loved it so much that she banned non-royals from being able to wear it!
Luxury
Being a regal colour, it should come as no surprise that purple is seen as a luxurious colour. Purple dye was once extremely expensive, which is why only those with extreme levels of wealth were able to afford anything purple and why the colour has its association with luxury.
Spiritual
Purple is known to be related to the crown chakra, which controls the body’s energy and is related to enlightenment. It was also often worn by philosophers and those who claim to have practiced witchcraft which is why purple is known as a spiritual colour! Quite a contrast to also being a luxury and royal colour, wouldn’t you say?!
Compassionate
Linked to being a spiritual colour, purple is thought to unconditional and selfless love. It is thought to help you remove your ego and when you combine all of those things, you are left with empathy and compassion!
